Greenpeace Australia is drumming up support to display its new advert on prime time tv and expose “The Dirty Three” – Origin, AGL and EnergyAustralia.

Greenpeace say that three big energy companies – AGL, EnergyAustralia and Origin Energy – are trying to weaken or scrap Australia’s successful Renewable Energy Target. Their efforts would lock out more wind and solar power and lock in higher household bills and climate-driving coal and gas power for decades to come.

‘The Great Energy Ripoff’ is a petition site where you can support Greenpeace and help them air this advert and expose big energy companies. They plan to present the petition at a high profile event.

“Over 10 million people buy their energy from these companies and they’re scared we’ll find out the truth about how successful the Renewable Energy Target really is,” states Greenpeace.
